A strong sense of history is evident from the moment you enter the gates of the Ambassador Hotel. Built in 1872 as a Military Hospital and then later occupied as a nursing home, the Ambassador Hotel was opened as a hotel in June 1997. Its unique architectural design has been lovingly restored and transformed into the luxurious Ambassador Hotel. A feeling of generous spaciousness permeates throughout the Ambassador hotel, particularly in the accommodation area, where the wide elegant corridors lead to sixty modern luxurious bedrooms. The calming effects of the rooms are further enhanced by a spectacular view over Cork City.

The south facing building basks in the sun throughout the day, with many bedrooms boasting step out balconies, allowing you to enjoy the panoramic views over Cork City, the River Lee and the inner harbour.
