Location:- County Galway

This course was laid out over a large marsh land with granite subsoil, but intensive draining was carried out before the golf course was built, which is one reason why it is in such excellent condition.

The relatively hilly site is magnificent, situated between the Bay of Galway and the hills of County Clare in the distance. Surrounded by scenic countryside and major water hazards to contend with, the style of this R.J Browne layout has a strong links flavour. Meaning that golfers who prefer seaside courses will feel the most comfortable over these 18 holes, the difficulties gradually pile up as you progress.

This is perhaps not the best course in the world but the peaceful setting, the clean air, and the wild beauty of the nature all around create sheer pleasure of playing here.
