The last half-mile approach to Deer Park, winds along a sweeping tree lined avenue, past Howth Castle, home to the St. Lawrence family for 800 years.

The hotel, just 9 miles from Dublin city centre and 20 minutes from the airport, is set high on the hillside of the Howth peninsula, which forms the north side of Dublin Bay. Overlooking its own parkland golf courses, it enjoys breathtaking views of Ireland's Eye and Dublin Bay. Access to the city is easy, via the DART, Dublin's frequent rapid rail system.

All superbly appointed rooms are ensuite, with TVs and the added luxury of oversized beds. The elegant restaurant, the Four Earls, offers a frequently changing menu complimented by an extensive wine list. The choice includes fresh fish direct from the local harbour.

Leisure facilities include a beautiful 17m indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and two tennis courts. There is also a lively bar, a bistro and a variety of function and meeting grooms catering for conferences and weddings from 10 to 95 persons. In May and June when they are in flower the famous Rhododendron Gardens are a spectacular sight.

Deer Park is Ireland's largest golf complex, comprising two 18 hole courses (6293 & 5921 metres), a 12 hole Par 3 and 18 hole Pitch and Putt; one of the 18s divides so that it can be played as separate 9 hole courses. Designed by Fred Hawtree and maintained to the highest standards the courses are set in mature parkland with views out over the sea.
