Druids Heath Golf CourseLocation:– Wicklow Length:– 7,434 yards, Par – 71 Architect:- Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock The sensational Druids Heath championship golf course, on the same grounds as Druids Glen, has made a dramatic entry onto the world golf scene. Combining links, heath land and parkland golf, the course has already played host to some of the world's leading professional golfers. Described as Nature's Gift to Golf, the championship Druids Heath course is maintained to Tour Standards and features rolling fairways, natural rock quarries, lakes, trees, streams, gorse, gently undulating greens, traditional pot-bunkers and a testing sea breeze. The variety of exciting challenges and the spectacular setting produce an unforgettable golfing experience on this unique and thrilling golf course. Beginning with the sea views of the opening hole, the dramatic island green on the downhill Par 5 second hole and the Par 3 third hole, you will travel on a golf journey guaranteed to provide golfing memories of a lifetime. The traditional links feel of the 5th hole, which calls for your very best and the 11th, where the Sugarloaf Mountains provide a scenic backdrop. The beautifully renovated regal clubhouse, Woodstock House, built in 1770 and the recently-opened Druids Glen Marriott Hotel and Country Club make this golf resort a true must-visit destination for any golfer eager to stay and play in the Irish countryside. The 5-star accommodations lie in the center of a county renowned for its ancient history, culture and landscapes. The unique location of the golf course provides breathtaking views of
Mountains, Sea and Irish Countryside. The ultimate Irish Golfing Experience
awaits the visitor to Druids Heath. America's legendary golf writer James W. Finegan, describes holes 12
and 13 as follows: The 13th is only 345 yards from the white markers. Trees in the left side of the elevated landing area - not at it but in it - menace the drive (just what are we capable of pulling off here?). The second shot bends right and must clear water and sand while at the same time avoiding a mature tree blockading the left front of the green, itself on the far side of a dip. The green is sharply angled to the flight of the shot. It is likely that no hole you've ever encountered looks or plays like 12 or 13 at Druids Heath."
