Founded in 1895, Greystones Golf Club is one of Ireland's oldest golf clubs. It sits in one of Ireland's most scenic locations, surrounded by the Wicklow Mountains with wonderful panoramas of Dublin Bay.

The Club was originally set around Jones's Hill which still provides the feature hole (7th.) of the course, set high above Greystones town with magnificent views from Lambay Island to Wicklow Head, with the Sugarloaf and Wicklow Mountains as the inland backdrop.

Greystones Golf Club has seen significant development and now boasts a modern clubhouse. In 1998 the outward 9 was redesigned with USGA standard sand based greens and tee boxes, whilst the back 9 holes have retained the traditional style. This blend of history and modernity gives an intriguing character to the course and provides golfers with variety and a challenging round.

Greystones and neighbouring the Delgany Golf Course are steeped in golfing history. Many top players learned the game in the area, such as Ryder and World Cup player, Jimmy Martin, whose father Jimmy was the Greystones Club Assistant Professional for many years.

Other top players from the locality included the legendary Harry Bradshaw, for years the Professional at Portmarnock, and Miltown’s Christy Green.

The Club House, opened in 1994, is located at the centre of the course, surrounded by ample car parking. It is bright and spacious and provides excellent facilities including Bar / Lounge area, Locker rooms and a fully stocked Golf Shop. The Dining area for snacks and full dining for visitors are also available.

A novel feature is the Putting Green, which was the walled garden of the original building.
