Location:- 1 mile from the city centre, on the northern side.

Par 71, 5722 metres

Two of Scotland's most famous golf architects, Willie Park Jnr and James Braid, actually had a hand in the formation of this fine parkland golf course. With mature trees and gorse lining the fairways, Waterford is a good test for players of all levels with a premium placed on accuracy off the tee.

Its signature hole is kept until last, the 18th is a very good par 4 of 368 metres. Built on a height, with views of the countryside, you are required to divert your attentions away from the sightseeing to hit a drive from an elevated tee along a narrow downhill fairway.

Assuming that this task has been safely completed, the approach shot is to a green that has earned Waterford a reputation for having some of the finest putting surfaces around. This course is well worth a visit, and will entertain all who play on it.
