Woodbrook Golf Club was for many a year a star attraction to the south of Dublin, often hosting the Carroll's Irish Open in the 1960's and the Irish Senior Open in 1998.
Complete re-laying of the tees and greens some years ago, under the supervision of Peter McEvoy, has helped to restore the course's prestige and raise the challenge that awaits you.
Clearly the alternating inland and seaside holes provide a close examination of the talent of skilled players and the lesser player too, due to the layout being is reasonably playable by golfers of all abilities.
Woodbrook Golf Course is rather flat course that overlooks the Irish Sea from atop cliffs, even though only holes 10 to 12 actually run along the coast. Although there are no huge difficulties, the wind can make life tricky, especially since the trees do little to break it.
